- Open up Google Chrome and in the address bar type about:plugins
- Look Down the list of plugins and you will see 'Flash'. If there is two files then you have both the chrome extension version and the adobe version installed.
- Click on the '+ Details' link on the right hand side of the screen to expand the Google Chrome Plugins.
- Click on the 'Disable' link right under the Google Chrome flash extension to disable it, it will become greyed out.
- Restart Google Chrome.
