Add Comment Everybody knows about Pinterest by now. However there are certain things you can do to increse the traffic to your site using your pins. When I visit a site and see a infographic I pin it. I include a catching description of the pin and I also include my link to my website just below the description of the pin as a related link.Pinterest users that follow you or search for the same interests, will re-pin that infographic and included is your link in the description. Now that facebook has integrated Pinterest into the timeline, you can get more viral traffic from your url as the re-pins will show up on the Facebook profiles of whoever re-pinned the infographic you originally pinned or re-pinned. Don't forget about Twitter too! when your followers tweet or re-tweet your pins this also creates more traffic. If the infographic has a good title and description, you can add in the url to a certain page on that particular subject and reap the benefits of SEO by correlation. Source: linkedin.com via Shawn on Pinterest I just added Pinterest to my site as you can see by the icons located to the right and upper left above and below the navigation. Pinterest is growing rapidly and in order to join you have to have an invite by another member or be put on the waiting list. Pinterest is a Pin-board that lets you share pictures and you can categorize them based on interests as you can make up boards and describe each picture. Members of pinterest can follow you like any other social network based on your interest. If you are a internet marketer and your site or the site your promoting has allot of graphics on it for example lets say charts then clearly you can see the reasons why you can use Pinterest to your advantage in generating targeted traffic from users that like your same interests and click through to find out more info. Make your Pins descriptive, engage your readers and hopefully they will click through to find out more. I just started using Pinterest, even though you may not have many followers you can still generate traffic from other users with your same interest. |
