Search Engine and Social Marketing Strategy

I don't want to make this post to long, so I will write down the basics of driving traffic to your site using Search Engine and Social Marketing.
  •   On Page SEO
  • Keywords
  • Meta Tags
  • Clean Code
  • Internal Linking
  • Site Map
  • Affiliate Program
  •   Off page SEO
  • Link Exchange
  • Forums
  • Blogs
  • Social Media
  • Newsletter's
  • PPC
  • E-mail Marketing
Doing your on page or onsite SEO is where it all starts!. Making sure you use the right keywords for each page. Use no more than 2 to 3 keywords per page, and i suggest using long keywords or key phrases as they are more specific and lest competitive.Use Bold keywords on your page and make sure you use them in the header, body and footer of the page you are optimizing. You also might want to include the word or phrase "buy" "this item here" as when customers are searching for a product they are further along in the process of looking to buy!
Meta Tags descriptions should be short and contain your keywords or key-phrases. Do not keyword stuff in the description, your 2 to 3 should work.I have a free Meta Tags Generator you can use to get you started.
Using Clean code means putting JavaScript and other code into external files where it keeps your page running smooth and loads fast for a better user experience where visitors will see less errors and its easier for search engines to crawl.
Internal Linking is important, make sure you link to all pages from your main page no more than 2 to 3 deep as this shows the search engines how important your pages are in the hierarchy of your site. Make sure all your links are in HTML and or CSS code as it is easy for the search engines to follow the links. Search Engines have a hard time following JavaScript Menu's. The Links to other pages should be descriptive and contain the keywords in the links. using your blog to create Internal links are a great way to improve your link count.
Create a Site Map of all the pages in your site, this is good for your visitors and you can also submit Site maps to search engines letting them know of new content and all the pages that need to be crawled.
Do you offer an Affiliate Program? If no why not? Affiliate Marketing is one of the best ways to have your product or service marketed to the masses for free, all you have to do is pay a commission to your affiliates that will be glad to market and promote your products and services. If you need to set up an Affiliate Marketing Program Software <----here is some to get you started.

Off page SEO is very important as well. we all know creating links back to your site is important for Google but creating links back to your product pages help your bottom line. Talk to other Webmasters and create Link Exchanges back to your pages using those specific keywords. This will help you rank higher in the search engines for people who are looking for that specific product. remember to use long keywords and key-phrases.
Join forums and talk about those specific products and give reviews, link back to your pages. Be informative just don't spam the forums or you will be blocked from further participation.
Create a Word-Press Blog or any Blog and write about your niche market. Do reviews on products and or services you use. Ping your blog so search engines can quickly be notified when there is new content. Link your blog to Social networks so when you update your blog your posts can be updated on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Reddit, StumbleUpon, LinkedIn and more social networks.
Use Social Networks to create links back to your pages. This will raise your link count in Google and drive more traffic from the Serp's pages. When you update your Social networks with useful content and they re-post, like, Stumble or plus1 your post you will receive much more fast and targeted traffic. search engines will also crawl your pages sooner as there will be more links back to your page.
Do you have a form where your visitors can sign up to receive newsletters? newsletter's let your visitors know and keep them informed on new information or products that you may offer now or in the future. newsletter are informative and can give testimonials.
PPC ads can be expensive depending on your keywords, however they drive targeted traffic to your site. If you decide to have a pay per click budget I would use a keyword tool to pick out keywords that are most relevant to your pages or products and don't forget to use those long keywords and key-phrases I was talking about earlier to send more targeted visitors.
E-mail Marketing is a great way to get traffic and potential customers to your site.Using E-mail marketing services allow you to target your mailings to your niche market or geographic locations for businesses that have brick and mortar locations.Google sites allow these locations to make coupons your customers can print out and gives them directions to your location when they are using maps to locate a service or product in their area.
That is the basics of a good Search Engine and Social Media Strategy to start with, there is also much more that can be done technically, however I just wanted to give you a good strategy to start with. Enjoy and thank you for taking the time to read my post.
